Programmer Analyst will analyze, design, develop, modify and implement software/systems applications mainly in the areas of Web Application development, Client/Server Applications & Data Warehousing(DWH) Applications.
Duties:
- Write detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop and modify computer programs.
- Perform Systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems applications as a systems programmer.
- Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
- Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
- Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to make sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct
- Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
- Upgrade the completed system and correct errors to maintain and support the system after implementation.
Skills Required: Microsoft Technologies such as .Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, Vb.Net, C# & MS SQL Server & Oracle (OR) Java, J2EE, JSP, Websphere, Weblogic, Oracle (OR) Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Data warehousing (DWH) tools (Cognos, Business Objects, Informatica) (OR) Testing Tools such as Winrunner, Load Runner, QTP, Discoverer & Test Director.
Qualifications Required: Employer requires Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering(Any), MBA(Any) (OR) Science/Math - with or without relevant work experience. In lieu of Masters Degree, employer accepts Bachelors Degree(Accepts Foreign Degrees) in Comp Sci, Engg (Any), Business Mgmt, OR Sci/Math with minimum of 5 Years of relevant experience in any of the above mentioned skills;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess good oral and written communication skills

The Database Administrator will Analyze, Design, Implementation and Support of Databases & Systems. Develop database administration procedures. Create users & grant appropriate privileges to access the databases. Work with development teams evaluating, designing & architecting the data solutions to meet the business needs. Upgrade legacy databases to new database versions on various operating systems. Develop data migration/conversion techniques for system conversions or upgrades. Keep Databases up to date with regular software upgrades & patches. Oversee and manage multiple concurrent projects. Work closely with system users to ensure information system strategies are aligned with program needs. Evaluate database integrity and security. Organize and analyze data for efficient reporting and retrieval. Implement Transparent Data Encryption, Tier-3 Storage mechanism and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Install, Create, Administer, and monitor Oracle Databases with ONCALL rotation
- Migrate database servers from AIX to Linux OS
- Update databases from Oracle 10g to 11gR2
- Implement and manage the database storage by replacing TIER 2 storage with TIER 3 storage.
- Monitor the production databases and identifying the current process problems and rectifying the processes using shell scripts.
- Implement Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (Oracle Advance Security for Oracle 11g R2) for securing critical databases
- Responsible for design and implementation of in house Oracle Disaster Recovery Solutions.
- Responsible for database security compliance for databases.
- Working closely with Audit teams to review and fix any database compliance/security related issues.
- Built Shell/SQL scripts to extract security data from databases for analysis/reporting Technical analysis of Solaris, AIX, Linux and Oracle Database vulnerability findings;
- Responsible for managing the ASM disk groups. And monitor the databases using latest 11g grid control environment.
- Responsible for setting up Real Application Cluster (RAC), VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
- Responsible for re-organizing the databases in case of performance problems.
- Responsible for creating new schemas, tables, views, procedures, packages, synonyms up on requirement.
- Work as a member of the technology team to assist in providing maximum availability and support of information technology systems
- Deliver quality work on or ahead of schedule.
- Maintain positive attitude and work independently as well as within a team concept.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science/Information Technology or Equivalent)
- Minimum 60 months of work experience as a Database Administrator.
- Hands on working experience with UNIX bases operating systems and servers.
- Hands on working experience implementing security, disaster recovery, RAC, ASM and VCS
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess good oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to interface with all staff members
- May require traveling on a need basis.
